The future of America is rooted in education. When our children learn to think critically and strategically, we are setting them up to be competitive problem solvers who will go on to make not only the U.S. a better place, but the world.
The education system should put students and parents first.
Students’ futures shouldn’t be defined by their zip codes. Every child should have the opportunity to attend the right school with the right curriculum for them, and every parent should be empowered to choose the school best for their child.
By third grade, the schools should ensure that all students can read on grade level.
Not every student should be pushed to attend university. Students deserve educational programs that prep them for their desired career that meets current and future workforce needs.
The education system desperately needs reformed so that it sets teachers up for success and holds them accountable for student learning.
